Poverty - The curse of Society
India is known for its rich cultural background but along with the culture India is well known for its cultivation of herbs. Herbs like Tulsi (Holy Basil), Gheekumari (aloe vera), Methi (fenugreek), Ashwangandha (Withania somnifera), Kush (Chrysopogon zizanioides) etc are cultivated in India and used in Ayurveda from very primitive era. After starting international trade huge numbers of herbs are started getting exported as India cultivates finest quality.
In the time of Covid 19 we found that this novel Corona virus mainly attacked people with low immunity system. But when India is number two in the world rank of corona affected case we found that most of the patients are from middle class and upper middle class family who can afford quality food which means they consume good food with enough quantity and we know India food contains lots of herbs and masala which means it will help to build strong immune system but in reality it is not happening. Corona reveals a bitter truth that Indians do not have enough strong immune system to fight against Corona.
Then what is happening with our immune system?
Actually people of middle class and upper class people pay a lot of money for good food but in return we get low quality, not fresh enough and impure food. Not only with food, in medicine we are not getting right medicines all the time. Most of the time we consume medicine with lots of side effect. All of these may lead break down of our immune system. Most of the time the fine quality of food are exported and countrymen who are general people failed to get the proper quality food inspite of giving proper money for it. While lower middle class don’t get proper food so impure food and wrong medicine don’t get the chance to destroy their immunity where as Middle and upper class people consume more food without knowing the reality and dangerous consequence of this, that these so called fake healthy foods, drinks, and medicines may bring death by destroying their immune system.
